The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have called off their strike after one day of industrial action following the proposed N60,000 minimum wage offer by Federal Government.
The TUC president Festus Osifo, according to Channels Tv, said this on Tuesday in Abuja.
“The NLC and TUC are going to relax the strike and see what happens in the next one week with negotiations with FG,” one of the sources noted.
“We’re just doing communique but it will be released after the meeting with the government team,” another senior official confirmed.
The meeting with the Nigerian government team will be held at 1.30 pm on Tuesday.
It was further learnt that the labour leaders were called to come to the Presidential Villa in Abuja for the meeting while they were working on the communique.
