ICYMI: Local Security Guard Slaughtered in Osun

Some unknown assailants have reportedly slaughtered a local security guard at his duty post in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State on Monday. The victim, known as “Ibariba”, was killed at a shop owned by one Baba Giwa.

While speaking on the ugly incident, a resident of the area, Rafiu Sola disclosed that the slaughtered body of the victim was discovered in the morning of Monday, August 12th, when business activities were about to start. Residents quickly alerted security operatives.

Security operatives, including men of the Nigerian Security and Defence Corps (NSCDC), evacuated the remains. The identity of the assailants is still unknown.

While confirming the development, the spokesperson of the NSCDC, Osun State Command, Kehinde Adeleke stated that, “The remains of the local security guard had been deposited in a morgue. Investigations have commenced by the officers of the corps in the division to…. unravel the cause of his death and apprehend the perpetrators of the evil act.”
