As the April General Election of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) approaches, momentum continues to build in support of Mogaji Olukayode Taiwo, an administrator par excellence, alongside his team of seasoned professionals.
The registered affiliate clubs of CCII, through which the council operates, have declared their endorsement for Mogaji Taiwo, recognizing his extensive leadership experience in both the public and private sectors.
At a familiarization event held at Imperial Hall, Aweni House, Oke-Ado, over 100 club Presidents and General Secretaries gathered to formally declare their support for Mogaji Taiwo’s candidacy.
His reputation as a visionary leader and seasoned administrator has earned him widespread confidence among CCII-affiliated clubs.
Mogaji Olukayode Taiwo is a former President of Jericho Business Men Club and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) of the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators in England, UK.
With nearly two decades of service at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), he retired as a Deputy Director and was a member of the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) working group on indirect taxes in Africa.
Post-retirement, he established Golden Palace Consulting, a tax consultancy firm, and currently serves on the board of several companies. He is also the National President of FIRS Retired Officers Association.
With an impressive résumé and a track record of professional excellence, Mogaji Olukayode Taiwo is well-positioned to bring strategic leadership and administrative innovation to CCII. His wealth of experience will be instrumental in enhancing the governance and operational efficiency of the Council, ensuring that CCII continues to play its vital role in promoting the welfare of Ibadan indigenes both at home and abroad.
Furthermore, Ibadanland will experience more development, as Mogaji will bring on board Captain of industries and join Government efforts in the development of Ibadan.
With the overwhelming endorsement from over 100 affiliate clubs, Mogaji Olukayode Taiwo’s candidacy represents a call for progressive leadership that will strengthen CCII’s legacy and drive its future aspirations.
