Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima was present in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Saturday to attend the traditional marriage ceremony of Toluwanimi Esther Oyebanji, the daughter of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
The Vice President, who landed at the Ibadan Airport, was received by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
Others present also include Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo; Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo; Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun; Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin; Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu; former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande among many others.

He then proceeded with his entourage to the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, which is the venue of the marriage ceremony.
The marriage ceremony drew a distinguished gathering of political leaders from across Nigeria. Other notable attendees include former governors of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi and Ayodele Fayose; former Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, among others.
During the ceremony, the Vice President who represented the President, commended Governor Oyebanji for his sterling leadership qualities and impact on the development of Ekiti.
The wedding unites the families of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his wife, H.E. Dr. (Mrs.) Olayemi Jumoke Oyebanji, with Dr. Oluranti Akinyemi and Dr. (Mrs.) Olukemi Akinyemi.
