Dr. Ibraheem Oladeji Salami, Chairman of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services (Oyo PTS), announced that the company’s fleet has grown from 5 to 18 buses since he took office.

In an interview on Fresh 105.5FM, he highlighted the progress made under his administration, including the expansion of services to several towns across Oyo State and the introduction of an effective card payment system with over 250,000 subscribers.

Dr. Salami emphasized the transport service’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, offering free rides to people with disabilities and students with valid identification.

He also spoke about the internal transformation at PTS, including the shift to a more organized management structure, improved operational and repair services, and empowered staff.

As Dr. Salami enters his second year at the helm of PTS, he aims to further expand and improve services. He plans to procure mini-buses to serve rural areas, introduce insurance schemes for intercity travel, and generate revenue through innovative ventures such as hiring out buses for private events and constructing a mini-terminal with a hotel and cinema.

Dr. Salami’s vision is to ensure that everyone in Oyo State has access to reliable transportation, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.

He is committed to transparency and accountability, and his administration has made significant strides in transforming the transport service and improving the overall experience for passengers.
