The Osun State Government has received commendations from the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) for its outstanding performance in infrastructure development. The President of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina, FNSE, led a technical team on a two-day audit and validation tour of Osun infrastructure projects, praising the government’s local content policy and ambitious infrastructure agenda.

Governor Adeleke was awarded the Best Governor in Infrastructure Development by the UK chapter of NSE, which was presented during the visit. The Governor dedicated the award to the people of Osun State, highlighting the state’s massive construction projects across 30 local governments and area councils.
The NSE team commended the government’s commitment to local content, with 95% of ongoing projects using local materials and labor. They also praised the high technical standards and competence of the construction team.
Governor Adeleke expressed his appreciation for the award and the NSE’s willingness to partner with the state government to transform Osun into an industrialized hub. He reaffirmed his commitment to bridging the infrastructure gap and promoting economic growth through well-developed infrastructure.

The joint inspection of the Okefia flyover construction project reaffirmed the NSE’s validation, describing it as world-class. The Governor assured that the project will be completed within the 12-month timeline.
This recognition solidifies Osun State’s position as a leader in infrastructure development in Nigeria, and the government’s efforts to promote local content and economic growth are yielding positive results.
