Osun Revamps Education Sector, Urges Teachers to Cooperate With New Policy

In a bid to revamp the state’s educational system, the Osun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced a policy to transfer teachers who have spent more than five years in their current schools to new locations.

According to TESCOM, the decision is in line with international best practices in education, which stress the importance of teacher rotation for optimal student learning and growth. The policy aims to address the issue of “pedagogy cabals” and stagnation resulting from teachers staying too long in one school.
