A man, Ibrahim Ogunrinde, in his 40s, has been arrested by a community in Ogun State known as Social Orientation and Safety Corps, for attempted murder.
The 46yrs old man was arrested at Ihaye Garage for stabbing a motorcyclist, one Kosu Daniel for allegedly having an affair with Ibrahim’s wife two months prior to the arrest.
Disclosing the information, the director of Information and Public Relations of the So-Safe Corps, Moruf Yusuf said the suspect was arrested at Ihaye Garage, Abeokuta on June 6th, 2024.
Ibrahim Ogunrinde, a resident of Adu Town, Ajebo Road, Mile 6, Abeokuta asked the victim on June 5th, 2024, at noon to take him on a ride to Olubo Town. According to the statement of the So-Safe Corps, the suspected stabbed Kosu Daniel in the arm and neck, leaving him in a pool of blood, after which he escaped with the Victim’s motorcycle.
It added further, “He believed he had succeeded in killing the victim, not knowing that Kosu Daniel was rushed to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.”
Yusuf added that the suspect and the recovered motorcycle had been transferred to Magbon, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
