Labbadia Backs Out of NFF’S Appointment Three Days After

The Nigerian Football Federation’s (NFF) newly appointed Super Eagles coach, Bruno Labbadia, has surprisingly rejected his appointment just three days after being unveiled.

According to a report by German website Kicker on Friday, Labbadia decided against signing a contract after a week of negotiations.

The NFF had announced Labbadia’s appointment without a signed contract, revealing the news on Tuesday via an early morning tweet.

The statement claimed an agreement had been reached with the German coach to lead the Super Eagles.

However, the deal has fallen through, with Labbadia becoming the latest coaching candidate to turn down the role.

His rejection brings an end to speculation surrounding the position, left vacant by Finidi George’s resignation. Labbadia would have been the 37th Head Coach of the Super Eagles.
