Houses and Properties Submerge as Flood Wreaks Havoc in Ogbomoso

Severe flooding has engulfed parts of Ogbomoso in northern Oyo State, submerging buildings and causing significant damage.

The flood followed heavy rainfall that hit the city between Wednesday and Thursday morning.

Reports indicate that the Ora River, which flows through the eastern part of Ogbomoso, overflowed its banks, leading to widespread flooding.

Among the worst-hit areas are Isale Ora and Aduinin. A Cherubim and Seraphim church and a nearby wooden store used for selling planks were completely submerged.

Several other properties have also been affected by the floodwaters.
