Homeless Not Hopeless Supports the Elderly with Palliatives in Ife

 

The Homeless not Hopeless Initiative, led by Fatokun Matthew Babafemi and supported by various individuals, on Saturday, 3rd August, 2024, embarked on a noble mission to distribute food palliatives to the elderly residents in a rural community within Ife Central Local Government Area, Osun State.

This compassionate act was a testament to the unwavering commitment of the initiative to support the elderly in bringing smiles to their faces. The organization is committed to serving humanity and making an indelible impact on people and the society at large.

The Homeless not Hopeless initiative, which is funded by a non-governmental organization along with generous contributions from well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists, has been making a positive impact for the past five years.

The primary goal of the organization is aimed at providing k assistance to those who are financially disadvantaged and unable to access basic necessities such as nutritious food. The initiative does not only focuse on providing palliative care to the elderly but also extends its support to secondary school girls – providing sanitary pads for them, helping the underprivileged, and the widows in rural communities.

 

With a beam of smiles, upon receiving the food packs, the elderly recipients expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the organization and all those involved in the distribution process. They wholeheartedly prayed for every participant and immensely released blessings on them for their humanitarian work.

Additionally, the aged recipients were full of praise to Babafemi and the team whose act of generosity is hugely felt by the entire community whenever he comes around.

One of the recipients, a 90 year-old woman, was thankful for the gracious act and thus emphasized the consistent support and goodwill of the organization in doing good by them whenever they come visiting.

“Babafemi and his crew are fascinating and wonderful people that whenever they come around puts a smile on the faces of all elderly in the community”, the elderly lady reiterated.

She further prayed for the benefactors and supporters of the initiative that God will continue to enrich and bless them in abundance.
