The executive governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved a substantial increase in monthly gratuity payments for retirees of both the State and Local Governments. The new monthly gratuity payment was increased to N1 billion, reflecting over 100% from the previous N456 million.
This significant increase demonstrates Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of retirees who have served the state diligently. The increased gratuity payment will take effect immediately and will benefit thousands of retirees across the state.

“Our retirees deserve the best, and we are committed to ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve for their years of service. This increase is a testament to our administration’s dedication to their welfare,” the governor stated.
