Bodija Incident: Oyo State Government Sets Up Emergency Situation Room

With reference to the latest blast in Bodija axis of Ibadan, the Seyi Makinde-led Government of Oyo State has set up an emergency situation room to oversee the whole aftereffects scenario of the recent unfortunate incident.

According to a release dropped on the state government’s X handle, the emergency room which is to serve as point of contact in matters related to the incident would be headed by a former Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital (UCH), Prof. Temitope Alonge.

It further stated that updates will be posted through official channels and contact information for the situation room have been rolled out. Residents are also advised to stay away from the scene pending the time investigations are concluded. A copy of the statement is as follows:

” Situation Report on the Bodija, Ibadan Incident

” The Oyo State Government has set up an Emergency Situation Room for the Bodija Incident led by Professor Temitope Alonge, to coordinate the ongoing response to the incident.

” Search and rescue efforts at the site of the incident continued overnight. Updates from the Emergency Situation Room will be publicised through official government accounts and media channels.

” The contact numbers for the Situation Room are 07049948057 and 08147672009.
Residents are advised to stay away from the site of the incident and call 615 free of charge for emergencies in Oyo State.
