A palpable joy brightened the faces of numerous residents—mostly the elderlies and widows—of Adabeji in Apata as Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire presented them with significantly great relief materials.
This moment followed an over-hour-long meeting he held with the local community, which comprises people of all ages.
Speaking on the reason for the meeting, Honourable Fagbenro-Bibire said the time has become ripe for everyone in the community to unite and chart a progressive path forward.
He further stated that for any community to develop, it must be deeply rooted in love, an indispensable quality he said he expected in full force from all members of the community.
Shedding light on his contributions as a private citizen without a political portfolio, he recounted his numerous impactful interventions in the community.
He mentioned the installation of a borehole to provide residents with clean, drinkable water essential for human survival.

In addition to this, he revealed that he had erected solar-powered streetlights at strategic locations to enhance security and ease movement for everyone.
He also promised to expand these efforts by further lighting up the community, stressing the crucial role of adequate lighting in ensuring safety and security.
Expressing his sincere concern, he lamented the deplorable state of the road leading to the community and assured residents that, pending the school’s approval, he would grade the road to ease the difficulties faced by commuters.
The touching highlight of the meeting was the presentation of an expensive phone to a woman who had been without one for a long time, a situation that, according to him, had hindered her from carrying out important activities.
He expressed optimism that with the new phone, the beneficiary would now be able to overcome the challenges caused by its absence.
The compassionate humanitarian also announced that the meeting would become an annual event, to be held every third Saturday of January, as a platform for fruitful and frank discussions about the unity and development of the community.

Speaking at the event, the visibly delighted residents showered resounding praises on the first-class philanthropist for his unparalleled contributions to the growth and development of the community despite holding no political office.
According to them, his philanthropic acts were unsurprising as he follows in the footsteps of his late father, reputed for his humanitarian interventions and inclusive efforts across all divides.
Following the meeting, Honourable Fagbenro-Bibire told newsmen that he was impressed by the commitment and determination of all residents to work together for the best interests of the community.
